I have not been blogging about Operation Smile, as for the
past few weeks we had only been talking about the ‘future’ of the clubs and
voting for the next heads of the club. Last Wednesday we had a bake sale, as
the wrist bands we ordered last year finally arrived. I was not really sure
about how successful this sale would be, as we did not really advertise for it.
The vast majority of the club participated by either baking (amazing goods), or
by selling the food. We had the stand for activity and lunch, and sold more
than 100 wrist bands, and all of the bake goods. Since me and Callie ( another
member of the group) had free block after lunch we decided to go and sell
whatever was left at the MS. This was a real success, all the kids rushed for
the cool aid and bought some 50 more bands.
I think that the Operation Smile club, is now making its way
through the number of clubs in ISK, and we will have a great year seeing how
dedicated everybody is, and the ideas everyone is coming up with.
